There are two ways you can do this in Sortifyd:
- In Sortifyd, a number of default notifications and reminders are automatically created for you when you add records with certain date fields populated (ex. document expiry dates, birthdays, anniversaries, health checkups, etc.). With these default notifications, you get a reminder notification and an alert also appears on the Notifications screen a certain number of (preset) days or months ahead of the event. You get reminders for birthdays and anniversaries of contacts you add to Shared contacts in the Contacts box. Please see the following support article for further details: System-generated Notifications and Reminders.
- In addition to using records under Shared contacts to add birthday reminders, another approach you can take in Sortifyd is to create a "Birthdays" list under the Contacts category (or any other). Here you can simply add the list of names of your family and friends as items and add their birthdays as reminders to each of their names. Using this approach, you can even specify how much in advance you'd like the reminders and at what time. By making the reminders recurring yearly, you will be reminded every year. If you would like, you can also attach photos, copies of cards, or letters for each person under "attachments" for the corresponding list items. Please see the following support article for further details: Creating lists and adding tasks.
