iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS updates

We simultaneously release all updates across the iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS platforms. Here's a list of our most recent updates:

Version 1.9.2 (Oct 2024)

You can now enjoy full, two-way synchronization with your device's calendar, as well as Google and Outlook calendars.

What's new:

• Selective Calendar Integration: Add only the sub-calendars you want to sync with Sortifyd, giving you granular control over which calendars and sub-calendars you manage and share with family members.
• Full User Control: Maintain complete control over your calendar events, including the option to keep selected calendars and sub-calendars private. This ensures you decide what stays private and what is shared within your account.
• Unified View: View all your events from different platforms in one place for an organized and streamlined experience.
• Real-Time Sync: Updates happen instantly, ensuring your calendar remains consistent across all platforms.
• Quick Event Filtering: Easily filter and manage events by calendar type (device, Google, Outlook, or Sortifyd) directly within the app.

Version 1.9.1 (Oct 2024)

• Calendar Enhancement: Sortifyd’s calendar has always integrated your lists, showing all tasks with due dates and times alongside your scheduled events. Now, you can also check off tasks, habits, and reminders directly within the calendar view, making it easier to manage your day. Plus, you can quickly add tasks and task lists through the Quick Add menu in the calendar view without needing to switch to the Lists tab. (See: Adding events to the Sortifyd calendar.)

• Bulk Task Management in Calendar View: You can now check off multiple instances of recurring tasks and habits directly in the calendar view, without having to mark each individual occurrence. This helps you catch up on tasks quickly and efficiently, streamlining your task management. (See: Adding events to the Sortifyd calendar.)

• Overdue Indicators in Lists Tab: Stay organized with overdue indicators on the Lists tab. An "!" symbol alerts you to overdue tasks in any lists, allowing you to quickly see which lists need your attention at a glance. (See: Creating lists and adding tasks.)

• Sorting Enhancements Within Lists: When viewing individual lists, you can now also sort items by due date, ensuring that your most time-sensitive tasks are easy to find and prioritize. (See: Creating lists and adding tasks.)

• Task Assignee Flexibility: You can now assign tasks without needing to set a due date, giving you more freedom to delegate responsibilities while keeping everyone on track. (See: Creating lists and adding tasks.)

• Improved Navigation: We've streamlined the Quick Add menu on the Home screen, simplifying how you add new records, attachments, and create or update lists. This enhancement makes navigation more intuitive and efficient. (See: Overview of the Sortifyd home screen.)

Version 1.8.8 (Aug 2024)

• Recipes: You now have the flexibility to add ingredients from a recipe directly to an existing list or create a new one, making shopping list management easier than ever.

• DIY Projects and Hobbies: Save materials and tools from your projects to an existing list or start a new one, streamlining your project organization.

• Meal Planning: Adding a recipe to your meal plan is now optional, giving you more control over your meal planning process.

Version 1.8.5 (Jun 2024)

• Habit Tracker Update: We've enhanced the habit tracker by relaxing the constraint on waiting until the due date to check off an item. Initially implemented to prevent accidental checkoffs, we've listened to your feedback and adjusted to provide a more flexible experience.

• New Home Screen Tour: Introducing a guided tour feature to help you navigate and understand all the icons and functionalities on your home screen. Tap Syd, our friendly mascot, to start the tour anytime! (See: Overview of the Sortifyd home screen.)

Version 1.8.3 (Jun 2024)

• List Enhancements: We've expanded the set of options to manage your lists. In addition to the existing sort, check/uncheck all, and hide/show completed items functionalities, we've added three new features:

  • Search Functionality: Quickly find items in your list by keyword. Need to quickly locate a specific item in your grocery list? Simply enter the keyword into the search bar and find it instantly. Perfect for locating specific items in longer lists.

  • Selective List Sharing: Share your list entirely or selectively share checked or unchecked items with others, even outside your family account, using the share function. Perfect for sharing a shopping list with your roommate or collaboratively managing a to-do list with a colleague.

  • Bulk Deletion: Easily delete checked or unchecked items from your list in bulk. Tidy up your list with a single tap, making list management even more efficient.

Version 1.7.9 (Feb 2024)

• Home Screen Customization: Continuing to make Sortifyd even more customizable, we've added the ability to rearrange and hide/show various sections on the home screen. This extra layer of flexibility lets you personalize your Sortifyd dashboard just the way you like it, making sure what's important to you is always front and center. • Recipe Feature Upgrade: Expanding on our recent updates, we're excited to enhance your recipe management experience further. Alongside the ability to search for and manually add recipes, you can now save your favorite recipes from any website directly into Sortifyd. Simply add the URL, and voila! With three convenient ways to add recipes, meal planning has never been easier. (See: Adding recipes to Sortifyd.)

Version 1.7.8 (Jan 2024)

• Daily Planner Customization: We've added a splash of personalization to the daily planner on the home screen! You now have the flexibility to color-code the cards in the Plan section according to your preference, making your daily overview more vibrant and tailored to your style (See: Overview of the Sortifyd home screen.)

• Organize Section Reorganization: Tailor your home screen for efficiency! Rearrange the nine category cards in the Organize section of the home screen to bring your most-used categories front and center in the card carousel. It's all about quick access to what matters most to you (See: Overview of the Sortifyd home screen.)

• List Enhancements: Keep track of tasks effortlessly! We've introduced a new feature in the Lists tab - a pending item count next to each list name. This at-a-glance indicator tells you which lists need your attention, and an "!" symbol alerts you to overdue tasks in any lists. No more navigating through each list; stay on top of your tasks with ease.

• Regional Settings: You can now customize your Sortifyd experience with default currency, measurement units, and clothing sizes, tailored to your region or preference.

• Meal Planner: Elevate your meal planning with this revolutionary feature. Seamlessly schedule meals, whether they are one-time or recurring, keep track of who’s dining, and coordinate whether you're cooking or dining out. Create your menu by seamlessly adding recipes from your Sortifyd collection or finding new inspirations from popular online sources. Prepping for a delightful family dinner or a special occasion? • Daily Planner Upgrade: Experience enhanced customization in your daily planning with our latest upgrade! Building on our previous enhancements, the daily planner now offers even more flexibility, allowing you to add, remove, and rearrange cards as per your preference. Choose from a variety of cards, including scheduled events and tasks for the day, your daily meal plan, frequently used lists, and your daily journal. Tailor your planner to meet your unique needs, ensuring that the most relevant and frequently accessed information is always visible directly on your home screen. • Calendar View Enhancement: Introducing a dynamic filter to your calendar view in Sortifyd! Now, effortlessly filter events and tasks by type and member, providing a tailored overview of your schedules and to-dos. (See: Adding events to the Sortifyd calendar.)

• Flexible Date Picking: Gain more control with the ability to adjust event dates to the past on the date picker in the calendar, enhancing your flexibility in recording and editing past events.

• Updated Calendar Permissions: In line with recent changes in iOS 17, we've updated our calendar access permission request to ensure smooth importing of events from your device's calendar(s) to Sortifyd.

Version 1.6.7 (Oct 2023)

• Recipe Feature Enhancement: Dive into a richer recipe experience. Not only can you manually add and organize your cherished recipes in Sortifyd, but you can now explore delectable dishes from some of the most popular sources on the web. Search by dish, cuisine, ingredient, or diet, and save them for quick access, complete with source links, ingredients, prep time, and nutrition details. And, when you're gearing up for a family dinner or a special occasion, easily export the ingredient list to a shopping checklist. (See: Adding recipes to Sortifyd.)

• Contact Management Upgrade: To further enhance your experience, we've improved contact management in Sortifyd. Beyond importing from your device, you can now manually input them directly into the app.

• Optimized for iOS 17: We've refined Sortifyd for seamless compatibility with iOS 17. This update also brings additional performance enhancements and minor fixes.

• UI Enhancements: We’ve fine-tuned our UI to make navigation more intuitive. Our navigation elements, including the tab bar and quick icons, have been reorganized for better clarity. • UI Enhancement: We've improved our UI to simplify the selection of user profiles and calendar event colors. Now, when choosing a profile or event color, you'll immediately see which colors are already in use, allowing for more informed selections. (See: Adding events to the Sortifyd calendar.)

• Habit Tracker: Elevate your daily routines with a shared space where all household members can track, visualize, and celebrate their consistency with streaks. Whether it's daily tasks, self-care routines, or other commitments, our Habit Tracker makes it simple for everyone to monitor and build upon their successes, helping all stay committed to their goals. • Enhanced Calendar: We've supercharged our calendar. Enjoy continuous syncing of imported events, custom repeat options for recurring events, customizable color coding of events, and multiple view types (including list, day, week, and month). Plus, you can now personalize additional calendar settings. (See: Adding events to the Sortifyd calendar.)
• Document Scanning: Boost your productivity with our new feature! Scan multi-page documents directly within Sortifyd and attach them to your records with ease. You will now see 'Scan Document' as an additional option when you try to add an attachment to a record in the Organize section, calendar event, or list item. (See: Adding records.)

• Color-Coded Calendar Events: Customize your schedule with unique color codes associated with different users. Your calendar events can now reflect your profile colors, creating a visually engaging and organized view. To change your profile color, visit the 'My Profile' settings under the 'Account' tab. Version 1.5.5 (May 2023)

• Nested Lists: Enhance your task organization with our new nested lists feature. Create subtasks or subitems under your main tasks for a more structured task management system. Swipe an item to the left to indent it and turn it into a subitem or subtask. (See: Creating lists and adding tasks.)
• Daily Planner Upgrade: We've upgraded the daily planner on the home screen with the addition of a Journal card. This card allows you to take quick notes directly from the planner, providing a convenient way to jot down your thoughts without leaving the page. This card syncs with the Daily Journal found in the Memories & Journal box in the Organize section. (See: Overview of the Sortifyd home screen.)

Version 1.5.2 (April 2023)

• Customizable Daily Planner: Inspired by the functionality of traditional paper daily planners, we've developed a customizable tool designed to optimize your daily structuring. Located under the 'Plan' section on the home screen, this planner can be personalized to align with your tasks and requirements.
