Want to personalize how your reminders sound?
Sortifyd now lets you choose from a range of custom notification sounds — from calm and gentle to bright and energetic — so your alerts feel just right for your day.
Note: This feature is currently available on iOS only. Your device settings still control whether notification sounds are played.
How to Change Your Notification Sound
To update your notification sound:
Tap the Account tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Under Settings and preferences, tap Notification sound.
Tap to preview any of the available options.
Select your preferred sound, then tap Confirm to save your choice.
You can return to this screen anytime to change your selection.
Notification Sound Options
You’ll find six options to choose from:
Device Default
Use your device’s default notification tone.Sortifyd Chime
A calm, signature chime to keep you gently on track.Gentle Bell
Soft and subtle. A light nudge to guide your day.Warm Tone
A warm, gentle tone that fits every kind of reminder.Syd’s Knock
A friendly knock from Syd. Simple and squirrel-approved.Bright Reminder
Upbeat and bright. A spark of energy for your day.
Things to Keep in Mind
Your device’s notification settings control whether sounds play at all. If you’ve disabled notification sounds for Sortifyd in your iOS settings, changing the sound in the app won’t override that.
This sound setting applies to general notifications sent by Sortifyd — including reminders, check-ins, shared updates, and alerts. It doesn’t affect Focus Timer sounds or your device’s system-level tones.
You can update or reset your sound selection at any time.
