-
Add Details to Your Lists: You can add more details to your lists like sublists, attachments, or photos. You can also set due dates, add reminders, assign items to others in your Sortifyd account, or set a task color for the calendar view.
-
Track Habits: If you have recurring items in your lists, you can turn them into habits to track them better. Just enable the habit-tracking function.
-
Integrated with Calendar: All your tasks with due dates and times will also show up in your calendar, enabling you to see all your scheduled events and tasks in one place.
In Sortifyd, managing your lists and tasks is straightforward and organized, making it simpler to keep track of your daily activities and plans.
Here's how you can get started with lists in Sortifyd:
- Navigate to the Lists screen by tapping the icon on the tab bar at the bottom of the home screen.
- Add a new list by tapping the icon at the bottom right of the screen.
- When adding a new list, choose a category that relates to the list you would like to create. (Ex. Family Camping Trip in Travel as shown above).
- Add list title
- Add list items. List items can be added in one of two ways:
- One-by-one: Tap the Add item field at the bottom of the screen to add an item. Tap Next on the keypad to continue to add items without dismissing the keypad, or Done at the top of the keypad to dismiss the keypad.
- Import a list (or sub-list): Tap the import list icon at the bottom-right of the list screen. You then have an option to either import and add items from a template, or import items from a clipboard using the quick-type/paste items.
- Adding items from a template: A number of list templates are available for each of the categories (ex. Home & Money, Travel, etc.). See our blog article for a list of list templates available in Sortifyd.
- Select a list template that would best contain the items you are looking for.
- Select items from the template that you would like to add to your list, or tap Select all to add all.
- Tap Import on the top right once you have selected all of the items you wish to add. You can repeat steps 1–3 to add additional items (from other templates) to your list.
- Adding items using quick-type/paste:
- Type a list, one item per line. Tap Return on the keypad to continue to add items without dismissing the keypad, or Done at the top of the keypad to dismiss the keypad. Hint: You can also copy a list from a different application on your device (ex. your text messages, email, notepad app) and paste it onto this screen to be able to import it into your Sortifyd list. Just make sure you add line breaks between items so there is only one list item per line.
- Tap Import on the top right once you have the items you wish to add. You can repeat steps 1–2 to add additional items to your list.
- Adding items from a template: A number of list templates are available for each of the categories (ex. Home & Money, Travel, etc.). See our blog article for a list of list templates available in Sortifyd.
- Add (or Edit) item details by tapping on the item name
- Title
- Location - Type, or tap the icon to search for a location
- Due date and time for a task
- If repeating, how often - daily, weekly, etc.
- Assignee(s) - This field has a pre-populated list of your family members from which you can quickly select those to who the task needs to be assigned. Profile pictures make the list very visual and easy to scan. (See Adding family members.)
- Category - The box/category to which the list item or task relates is pre-populated based on the category you chose while creating the list. This cannot be edited.
- Color - Use this field to assign a specific color to each task, facilitating easy identification on the calendar. You have the option to select the color associated with the user to whom the task is assigned, or you may choose any other preferred color from the available palette.
- Priority - Assign a level of urgency or importance to an item or task by selecting one of the available options: None, Low, Medium, or High.
- Reminder (alarm), if any - at time of the event, 15 mins before, etc.
- Habit Tracking - This toggle switch becomes available when a task is set to repeat. Enabling this feature allows the item to be treated as a habit, facilitating the tracking of its completion over time. This is particularly useful for establishing and maintaining recurring activities or routines, providing you with insights into your consistency and progress.
- Notes - A place for ad hoc notes/comments and other tags related to the event to make it easily searchable.
- Attachments - Tap the icon to attach PDF documents or photos of items related to the list item or task (product packaging, page from catalog, invitation, directions, tickets, etc.). You can add attachments in one of the following ways:
- Attach pictures from your photo gallery
- Take and attach photos using your camera
- Attach PDFs and photos directly from your Files app/folder
- Scan and attach multi-page documents with the integrated document scanner. (This feature is available only in certain subscription plans.)
